Because your skin is biological (living) our beautiful skin cream uses biological (plant based) ingredients for their superior absorption and effect, avoiding the harsher mineral compounds so typical in skin care formulas (the only mineral we use is liquid zinc, renowned for its skin healing ability).

Zinc is often used in skin creams due to its healing properties. It's the only mineral in our skin cream and provides added healing, anti-inflammatory and anti-infective properties.	Vitamin D is clinically proven to reduce plaque psoriasis when applied topically to the skin. The overall ability of Vitamin D to reduce cancer is well documented, so it's a lovely ingredient in our skin cream.
Otherwise known as Milk Thistle, this herb has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immune modulating properties. Milk thistle has a well proven ability to fight cancer, including skin cancers when applied topically. Because Milk Thistle also reduces skin radiation damage from UV light, it's a perfect ingredient to use in our cream.	The use of Silica Gel topically is mainly anecdotal (individual reports rather than clinical trials). We've used low dose Silica due to it's reported ability to firm the skin, lessening the appearance of fine lines
Our cream has the delightful fragrance of Lemon Myrtle Essential oil. This Australian native plant has excellent action against a wide range of bacterial and fungal infections.	Although studies on Vitamin E in scar treatments have mixed results, this important antioxidant shows promise in the treatment of dermatitis. As a plant based oil, Vitamin E has been included in our skin cream to promote skin hydration.
Lemon essential oil contains limonene, an ingredient clinically proven to reduce the activity of an enzyme called elastase. Elastase breaks down elastin, an important protein within the skin layers that helps the skin maintain its structure and elasticity.	Aloe Vera Gel is often used to treat sunburn, wounds and dry skin, with a long history of use for these conditions. Clinical trials on Aloe Vera's skin effects show varied results, but support its use in Psoriasis and as an effective skin hydrating compound.
Coconut Oil is becoming more popular as a skin moisturiser, and this is with good reason. When compared to mineral oil in treating atopic dermatitis, coconut oil is far better at calming the skin & promoting healing. Our cream uses only non-hydrogenated (non-processed) organic coconut oil, giving your skin the very best of this lovely ingredient.	Calendula (Marigold) has a long history of topical use for a variety of skin conditions, including burns and radiation damage. More recent studies have shown Calendula's antioxidant effects, reducing skin damage from free radical compounds.
MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) is a plant based powder with potent anti-inflammatory action. MSM also helps topical compounds penetrate more deeply into the skin, allowing treatment of deeper dermal layers.	Topical Vitamin A has been shown to reduce skin; dryness, fine lines, coarse wrinkles, mottled pigmentation, uneven skin tone, roughness, crepey skin texture and scaling, These effects were noted within 12 weeks of use, and were in comparison to a basic skin moisturiser.
Essential oil of Cinnamon bark shows a high level of ability to fight many bacteria. These include Proprionibacterium acnes, a bacteria commonly involved in acne.
