Scrummy Muesli Recipe

Here’s a healthy and tasty muesli recipe that won’t cost you an arm and a leg!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups rolled oats or rice puffs

  • 1-2 cups corn flakes

  • ½ cup shredded coconut

  • 1 cup chopped almonds (or almond meal)

  • ½ cup sunflower seeds

  • ½ cup pepitas (Pumpkin seeds)

  • ¼ – ½ cup chia seeds

  • ½ cup sultanas (avoid dried fruits with sulphur dioxide, additive #220)

  • ¼ cup dried dates

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

METHOD

  • Mix all ingredients

  • Pour into a bowl with your favourite milk or milk alternative

  • May be eaten raw, or simmered as a porridge, or toasted

TOASTING METHOD

  • Spread muesli on a shallow baking tray

  • Toast in moderate heat oven for up to 10 minutes

 

*NOTE; ingredients include nuts and salicylates so may not be suitable for all people
